People First Advocacy in Action Beginner Series

October 18 @ 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Advocacy is an important piece to Independent Living. When you advocate for yourself or ask someone to advocate for you, it means that you are taking an active role in the decision-making process. This 8-week class is designed to help participants understand more about advocacy and how you can become more involved in the decision-making process.

This class will meet once a week for 8 weeks. Sessions are 1.5 hours in length. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the 8 weeks when attendance expectations have been achieved.

Space is limited; therefore, registration is required, along with an informational intake. Contact James Clyde by email or by phone at 517-999-7514 to sign-up for the next available session. We look forward to helping you on your path to greater independence.

*If individuals require assistance in order to fully participate, it is recommended that the participant bring a personal assistant, as one will not be provided.
