Change is constant.
DNCAP is here to support you!
During the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, DNCAP received more proof than ever that preparing for emergencies is essential – especially for people with disabilities. In 2021, we developed our Emergency Preparedness Program to support people with disabilities to be ready for the unexpected – from floods to fires to falls. Please feel free to reach out to Julie Powers at 517-999-7538, for more information!

DNCAP is here to help you and your household stock up with your own emergency preparedness kit.

DNCAP has teamed up with MI Prevention to help provide individuals with disabilities with life-saving smoke detectors and assistive technology devices. Strobe lights, bed shakers, and Google Nest devices are available at no cost. These devices connect to a standard smoke detector and alert people who are deaf/hard of hearing when the alarm sounds. This fire safety equipment is free, and you can even get help with installation!
For more information visit the MI Prevention website or contact Abbey Moran at 517-896-8304 or email [email protected]

As individuals with disabilities tend to have difficulty accessing the COVID-19 vaccine or are more susceptible to infection with the virus, DNCAP has worked hard to help those with disabilities have access to this life-saving vaccine.
DNCAP has worked closely with the Ingham County Health Department to set up multiple vaccine and booster clinics at our Lansing offices and at various locations throughout our region. For information on when and where future vaccine and booster clinics may be occurring, please contact Jeffery Spangler at 517-999-7525 or email [email protected]
